Bringing the perspective of our community to the work of public health.

The seven-member Union County Board of Health is the governing body of the Union County Health Department. Five members are appointed by the District Advisory Council (comprised of county commissioners, township trustees, and representatives from each village/municipality within Union County). Two members are appointed by the City of Marysville. Board of Health members have varied education/career backgrounds and are not required to have formal education or experience in Public Health. Instead, Board of Health members are asked to represent our residents and the values of our community. Current members of the Board of Health are:

The Union County Board of Health was formed in 1919. The longest tenured member of the Board of Health was Mr. John DeVoss who served the Board for 46 years.

Notice of Public Hearing: Proposed Changes to Environmental Health Fee Schedule

The Board of Health invites public comment on the proposed 2026 Environmental Health Fee Schedule during the its regular meeting on Oct. 15, 2025. The meeting begins at 7:30am in the Board Meeting Room of the Union County Health Department, 940 London Avenue, Suite 1100, Marysville. Please enter through the door marked “Staff Only” located to the right of the main entrance to the building. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to submit comment, please email comments regarding the proposed 2026 Environmental Health fee schedule to contact@uchd.net by end of day on October 14.

Notice of Public Hearing: Proposed Changes to Vital Statistics Fee Schedule

A public hearing for proposed changes to the Union County Health Department’s Vital Statistics Fee Schedule will be held Oct. 15 during the regular monthly meeting of the Union County Board of Health. The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. in the Board Meeting Room at the Union County Health Department, 940 London Ave, Marysville. Please enter through the side door marked “Staff Only” located to the right of the main exterior entrance.  The meeting is open to the public and public comment on the proposed fee changes are welcome during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
