Local Tobacco Cessation Services
Local tobacco cessation services are available through various mechanisms in Union County, Ohio.
- If you are employed with health benefits, you are encouraged to seek cessation services through your employer (Affordable Care Act mandates cessation services be offered and covered through insurance.).
- If you are uninsured, please contact the Ohio Quitline at 1-800-QUIT NOW.
- Memorial Hospital (Marysville, Oh) provides community cessation group classes at least three times per year for a minimal fee. Please contact Rebecca Wilder at rebecca.wilder@memorialohio.com or via phone at 937-578-2755.
- If you are pregnant and uninsured or Medicaid eligible, Union County Health Department provides cessation services (see below for details).
Patients of the Union County Health Department Prenatal Clinic will be assessed for tobacco use and referred to a tobacco treatment specialist as needed. Tobacco Treatment Services are for pregnant clients and their household contacts. For more information about tobacco services or the prenatal clinic, please contact Susie Knox at susie.knox@uchd.net or via phone 937-642-2053 ext. 2059. Women who are pregnant and tobacco users are also eligible for extended incentives through the Ohio Quit Line (1-800-QUIT NOW).
