Union County Board of Health has appointed Martin J. Tremmel, J.D., M.P.A., as the new full time Health Commissioner for the Union County Health Department. Tremmel’s previous experience includes seven years with Huron County General Health District as a Health Commissioner and three years with the Seneca County General Health District as a Health Commissioner.
“The search committee spent several months considering applicants for Union County Health Commissioner and the Board of Health is very pleased with our choice in Martin Tremmel,” noted Gary McDowell, Union County Board of Health President. “Tremmel’s past experience will be an asset to the Health Department and the community,” said McDowell.
Tremmel serves on several local and state boards and committees in addition
to being the past President of the Ohio Association of Ohio Health Commissioners
(AOHC). He holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Cleveland-Marshall School
of Law-Cleveland and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Cleveland
State University. Tremmel will officially join the Health Department in
the beginning of June.
